I offer piano lessons and various musical services including: transcription/notation, performance and piano/keyboard accompaniment (for soloists, ensembles, practices, receptions, church services, musicals).

Piano Lessons

I welcome beginners of all ages (recommend starting around age 6).  I teach piano method/form, music theory, and ear training (as developmentally appropriate). I offer a “Family Discount” for families that schedule their lessons in one block of time. The prices on my pricelist reflect the Family Discount.

Only child?  No worries – sign up a friend (or a parent!) and receive the same discount!

Family discounts only apply when all lessons are taken in one time block.  (i.e., two half-hour lessons in one hour, not two half-hour lessons on two different days). Download my piano lesson pricelist here

A few of the most commonly asked questions about Piano Lessons are as follows:

Where do you give lessons?
Currently, I am available to teach piano lessons in the student’s home or in my studio in Chandler.  I travel throughout the East Valley (Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale).

How old does my child have to be to start lessons?
I don’t recommend starting children with traditional piano lessons before the age of 5.  Children at about 6 years of age (grammar school age) are excellent enthusiastic learners.  What is most important is that your child wants to take lessons!

Am I too old to take lessons?
NO!!!  It is never too late to learn – or remember!  Again, what is most important is your desire to learn – it will give you the determination to practice and accomplish your dreams!

How much does it cost?  Do you offer multiple child discounts?

What books do you use?
I have found that every student has a different learning style and musical background; therefore, I do not use the same publisher or method series for each student.  After I speak with you, I will suggest a combination of books that I feel you or your child would enjoy the most and learn with the best.

Disc Jockey Services

Your event is only as good as the music that gets played at it!  So, here is some information about my collection.

I subscribe to Promo Only, a professional disc jockey music service which releases weekly editions of new music (before you hear it on the radio!) for Mainstream/Top 40, Dance, Rock, Rap, and Country.  I also subscribe to their monthly Contemporary Christian series.  I have the last three years (2007-2009) of Promo Only’s monthly Mainstream Radio, Dance Radio, Country Radio, and Contemporary Christian Radio.

I also have a comprehensive collection of Wedding Must-Have Songs (40 discs of them!) – which includes the hits from the Glenn Miller and ’50s-60s Doo-Wop eras through the Disco/Funk years, 80s Dance music and 90s Hip Hop and Pop.

I use cd decks first and foremost, but keep my iPod and laptop handy for those last-minute requests and emergencies!
