Bio
I’ve always had a love for music. I started formal piano lessons when I was six years old, and found a world of opportunities from them including: accompanying church services, playing in Dixie and Jazz combos, accompanying community musicals, and playing in the foyer during intermissions for national and international productions at the local university. I began studying music theory in seventh grade through a scholarship from WCATY (Wisconsin Center for Academically Talented Youth) and went on to pursue music composition at UW-Milwaukee and Jazz Studies in Composition at Columbia College in Chicago. I have long dreamed of writing film scores.
Performance Experience
I have played piano, keyboards, alto, tenor and bari saxophone, flute, clarinet, and percussion in several pit orchestras and jazz ensembles. I also have performed and collaborated with several different performing bands (adult contemporary – Hladish and Brown; progressive rock/jam band – Open Source, Sunday Morning Drive; Christian rock – Jacobstone; post-hardcore – The Felix Culpa; independent hip-hop artists, and church worship teams). I write and perform my own songs at local open mic venues and benefit concerts from time to time.
